Mag. Yuliia Hartman, Master of Laws, serves as the Managing Editor at Access to Justice in Eastern Europe (AJEE). She is an active member of the Ukrainian regional chapter of the European Association of Science Editors (EASE) and a participant and moderator of the EASE Editorial School. She is also involved in the project “Theoretical Framework for Harmonizing Editorial Practices of Ukrainian Academic Publishing with International Standards for Ukraine’s Integration into the European Open Science Space” (2024), funded by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.
Since 2023, Mag. Hartman has been a member of the East European Law Research Center, where she engages in various project activities, focusing primarily on academic publishing, research integrity, and studies in economics and law. Additionally, she has been a fellow of the European Law Institute since 2023. In this role, she is currently involved in preparing the translation of the ELI-UNIDROIT Model European Rules of Civil Procedure into Ukrainian.
Mag. Hartman is actively engaged in various educational and training programs, including the Hague Academy on International Law (Summer Courses on Private International Law, 29 July–16 August 2024, The Hague, Netherlands), the EASE Editorial School for Journal Editors, the EAPIL Winter School on Personal Status and Family Relationships at the University of Insubria (12-16 February 2024, Como, Italy), and the Ravenna Summer School of Transnational Litigation at the University of Bologna (17-22 July 2023, Ravenna, Italy).
She has participated in numerous conferences and seminars related to her research interests in various academic publishing and legal topics, notably including the Association of University Presses Conference 2024 in Montreal, Canada (11-13 June 2024).
