Get to know Zadar, historical capital of Dalmatia, charming Mediterranean city full of legends and interesting stories. The old nucleus lies on a small peninsula where once stood the best fortified European city. Venetian city walls of Zadar are among the best examples of Venetian fortification system that was built in the 15th and 16th century during the Ottoman invasions. The most representative part of the fortification system is the Landward Gate, a monumental entrance to the city. After demilitarization of the city, large forts were turned into beautiful green oasis that became favorite gathering places of the locals. Besides the Venetian fortifications you are going to sightsee: People`s Square, City Market, Sea Gate, St. Donatus Church and the Cathedral of St. Anastasia.

On a small island in the middle of a shallow lagoon the small town of Nin can be found with its old centre, connected to the mainland by two stone bridges. It is the oldest Croatian royal town, the cradle of the Croatian state. The coronation Church of St. Nicholas, can be found here, as well as one of the word’s most beautiful beaches. Tour of the remains of the temple of Diana, Condura (ship from the 11th century), the church of St. Cross, Memorial Gregory of Nin and church of St. Ambrose. Visit the Museum of salt, which dates back to Roman times, with an expert guide, discover interesting stories about salt.
Due to the lack of greenery characteristic for all the island of Croatian Adriatic, the landscape of Pag island is often compared with the Moon surface. It is special for its rich cultural inheritance.
The lacework of Pag is listed at UNESCO`s World Intangible Cultural Heritage Register. Women from Pag started knitting it in the 15th century. Pag cheese is known in the entire world as authentic Croatian product. Herds of lambs live on the rocky island slopes and eat aromatic herbs that grow from the karst cracks. Due to the Mediterranean herbs its meat has unique taste. Besides the lace, salt is the other white gold of Pag island. The production of salt on Pag lasts for more than 1000 years.
You will enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Zadar Region while driving towards Pag island. Upon the arrival you will sight-see a picturesque town of Pag. After visiting important town`s sights you`ll have free time for refreshment or coffee break. Follows the visit to the Lace Museum where you will find out about life of Pag residents during history. Tour of Pag cheese factory provides a unique insight into the rich heritage of Paski sir, hard cheese known all over the world for its special aroma and high quality.
