PUBMET RUN 2024

PUBMET2024 Runners

WINNERS OF THE PUBMETRUN 2024

As always, we had runners in two categories, and the winners are:

W: Zorica Janković and Dejana Carić (since they ran together discussing scholarly communication in modern science, they’ll just have to share the award)

M: Emanuel Kulczycki (who decided to hand over his award to a young researcher)

Thank you for running with us, see you next year!

ABOUT PUBMET RUN

PubmetRUN is the only race that puts your real running to the test. You can be a slow runner or a serious athlete – it doesn’t matter. All you need to do is to show up in front of the main building of the University of Zadar on 13 September 2024 at 7:00. You can also participate remotely and send us a screenshot of your activity from any app (Strava, Garmin, Polar…). The run has to be recorded from 10-13 September and has to be 5K (5 km or 3.1 miles) long. If running is too hard for you, you can walk, there is no time limit!

We have prizes – free participation at PUBMET2025! There are two categories (W and M, no age categories).

You can send screenshots, photos and videos to jvilicic@pbf.hr with the subject of the email: PubmetRun2024.

PUBMET2022 Runners

HALL OF FAME

The tradition of PubmetRUN began back in 2018 when it was an unofficial training with only 3 runners involved. The number of participants had exponentially increased until 2022. From 3 to 12 runners in only a few years, that is a 400 % increase! The number of participants remained stable in 2023 and 2024, but help us increase it in 2025 by joining our small happy running community!

These are our winners so far:

  • PubmetRUN 2020 – Iryna Kuchma
  • PubmetRUN 2021 – Ana Đorđević (best result) and Iva Vrkić (funniest photo)
  • PubmetRUN 2022 – Niels Stern
  • PubmetRUN 2023 – Matt Hodgkinson
  • PubmetRUN 2024 – Zorica Janković and Dejana Carić (W); and Emanuel Kulczycki (M)
  • PubmetRUN 2025 – might be you

We are looking forward to running with you!
